Several renewal groups have sprung up in recent years attempting to draw churches back to the clarity of Biblical Christianity. In a real sense the CCCC itself is a renewal effort that emerged within the Congregational Christian Churches back in the late 1940’s. We continue to support renewal efforts within our historic family tradition. The Biblical Witness Fellowship is the evangelical renewal group within the United Church of Christ. The Disciple Heritage Fellowship is a similar organization that grew out of the Disciples of Christ Churches. A third group, representing renewal from the Reformed perspective has also emerged within Congregationalism and that is the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Churches. We share much in common with these fellow-workers for the cause of renewal within the wider Congregational families and have agreed to work together with them in providing some pastoral assistance in connecting with churches seeking evangelical ministers through the Pastor Referral Network.
